The Biggest Story and Giveaway

I love reading books to my children especially when they are books that are encouraging and inspirational and best yet bible stories.

Today's post is about a book that began as a Christmas sermon from a pastor named Kevin D. Young who decided to expand it into a book called The Biggest Story : How the snake crusher brings us back to the garden.

Thus far, the book is fantastic with biblical characters and stories ranging from Adam and Eve to Moses and the most important character in the book and in the bible, Jesus Christ and how his death on the cross redeemed us from our sin.

Side note, this is not what you may believe but this is what I believe and hope and live for.
If this post is not for you today you can choose to skip it, I will not be offended.
But if you are intrigued then keep reading:)

So far, I have read the beginning chapter to my children and will continue to read to them until we finish the book.

The Biggest Story also has vivid and unique illustrations by Don Clark.
I have never seen such images before but they make the book more captivating.

About the book:
Hardcover: 132 pages
Publisher: Crossway (August 31, 2015)

In The Biggest Story, Kevin DeYoung - a best-selling author and father of six - leads kids and parents alike on an exciting journey through the Bible, connecting the dots from the garden of Eden to Christ's death on the cross to the new heaven and new earth.  With powerful illustrations by award-winning artist Don Clark, this imaginative retelling of the Bible's core message-how the Snake Crusher brings us back to the garden-will draw children into the biblical story, teaching them that God's promises are even bigger and better than we think.

From the site of the beginning pages of the book:

Once upon a time there lived a man and a woman. They were the happiest people on the planet.
True, they were the only people on the planet, but they were still terrifically happy.
Unfortunately, things didn’t stay happy and wonderful for long . . .
The Bible is full of exciting stories that fill children with awe and wonder. But kids need to know how all those classic stories connect to Scripture’s overarching message about God’s glorious plan to redeem his rebellious people.
