Elegant Home Decor, Window Tinting and Blinds

Elegant home decor options can be hard to come by nowadays. So many of the times I’ve found myself walking into stores and just wondering who they are trying to appeal to. It seems like the majority of stores are targeting the younger crowd now, which is not necessarily a bad thing - it can just be harder to find specific decor pieces to really show off my home in an elegant way.

I’m just not really a huge fan of large plastic turquoise pineapples for my mantle and although the majority of the decor offered at larger stores does fall into the plastic pineapple category, I am still able to create elegant home decor options for myself and I know you will be able to, as well.

The best part is that you do not need to spend a million bucks to create elegant decor options. In fact, Sarah Titus says, “It doesn’t really matter how much money I have or don’t have, I’m always going to want my elegant and sophisticated style to show through on the best prices I can find. Being frugal isn’t about being cheap or dirt poor. It’s about spending whatever money you DO have, wisely, so that you can have the life you want…on less. I lived rich on $18k/year for several years and I still live frugal today, even though I made over $23k last month alone. I’ve always liked quality, brand name items, and I’ve always found creative ways of getting what I want, cheaper than the off brand junk. I believe that you can have what you want on ANY income and this website is all about showing you how. When it comes to my home, it’s no different. An elegant home without spending a fortune is easy for me.”

Here are my favorite elegant home decor options that won’t break the bank:

Family Portraits
Family portraits are always great additions to your home. The reason I love them so much is because they are personable and make you feel happy and they can be dressed up or down. Even the most casual picture (ie. a picture of you running down the beach) can be dressed up to work into your other elegant decor. For example, if you get a high-quality frame, it automatically transforms a casual picture into a gorgeous piece of art. Family portraits are the perfect way to add some joy and personality into your home while still staying with your elegant theme. If you do not want to use family portraits, use photographs of your travels, artwork that you love, or another memory that brings you joy.

Window Films
Do you love privacy, lower energy bills, and the look of elegant window designs or frosted glass? If so, then you definitely need to look into having window films installed. “By reducing the amount of heat gained through transmission of sunlight, 3M™ Window Films let in the natural light you love while rejecting heat and UV rays. Window films can help you lower energy costs, eliminate hot spots, reduce glare and protect your furnishings — all without affecting your view”, according to UHS Window Tinting and Blinds. Window films reduce up to 78% of the sun’s heat, they evenly disperses the natural light into your home, and they help block up to 99% of harmful UV rays. Window tinting is perfect for those that like privacy and want an elegant home, as well. Even though the window films allow natural light in, they still enhance privacy and create the illusion of elegant texturized, treated, or etched glass with the 3M™ Fasara™ Films or 3M™ Crystal Glass Finishes that UHS Window Tinting and Blinds uses. UHS Window Tinting and Blinds is a locally owned and operated company based out of Atlanta, Georgia. If you are in search of Atlanta Window Tinting Services, they are the company for you!

House Plants
House plans are not only elegant, but they add quite a bit of benefit, as well. They not only add just the perfect amount of green to a room, but they help purify the air, as well. In fact, NASA recommends all homes to have at least one house plant in each room. They have a long list on the best plants to purchase for your air purifying needs.

Faux Fur Blankets
Every elegant home has to have a faux blanket! I know what you are thinking - faux fur?! Wouldn’t real fur be even more elegant? Well, no. First of all, faux fur is helping the environment and the animals around you, but in addition to that, more and more designers are starting to use faux fur in the place of real fur, which makes me so happy! In fact, Refinery says, “Anti-fur advocates have come a long way since the days of slinging red paint on the fluffy-clad fashion elite. Instead, they now count some key luxury fashion players as their advocates. In just the past nine months, Gucci, Michael Kors, Versace, and the entire Yoox Net-A-Porter universe, not to mention InStyle editor-in-chief Laura Brown, have all committed to being fur-free, many of whom have expressed a deep interest and dedication to sustainability. But brands aren’t exactly eschewing fur as an aesthetic choice, as some animal rights advocates would hope. Instead, they’re switching to lavish faux fur options — cue up Burberry’s giant happy rainbow cape.” So, grab a fur blanket or two and make your home elegant and warm + cozy for the winter months that are well on the way to the SE!
This beautiful elegant faux fur blanket can be found in Target Stores as well.
