Red Door Movement For Passover

The world of social media is doing a Red Door Movement which involves covering your door with a red ribbon, a red scarf or even red tape to symbolize the blood on the door posts that the Israelites were instructed to have on their doorframes and two side posts so that the Lord would passover them and they wouldn't be destroyed by the angel of death.

I am a Christ follower so I am covered by the blood of Jesus, but I also did this on my door as a prophetic act on Passover.

🙏RED DOOR🙏
It's not fancy, but it's up.
As a Prophetic act I am doing this.
During Passover, you simply put a red ribbon or tape over your door.
This should all mean more to us this year, than ever before! The year that death is passed over our homes as we are covered by the blood!🩸

Why We Are Covering Door Frames in Red:
This is based on the story of Moses and how God used him to lead the Hebrew nation from captivity in Egypt. The whole story can be found in the Bible: The book of Exodus chapters 1-12. The section regarding blood on door frames begins in Exodus 12:7, 12-13
"7 Then they are to take some of the blood and put it on the sides and tops of the door frames of the houses where they eat the lambs.
12 “On that same night I will pass through Egypt and strike down every firstborn of both people and animals, and I will bring judgment on all the gods of Egypt. I am the LORD. 13 The blood will be a sign for you on the houses where you are, and when I see the blood, I will pass over you. No destructive plague will touch you when I strike Egypt."
God uses symbols to communicate His messages so, as Christians, we are using this symbol to communicate our faith in God. Door Frames covered in red during this Passover season is a statement of faith. We are standing firm on the blood of Jesus and communicating to the world that we believe God is in control.
We are not doing this as protection for the Corona Virus. There is no power in ribbon. However there Is power in the blood of Jesus. This is a symbolic statement of our trust in Him.
If you would like to participate, cover your door frame in red for Passover this year (April 8-16). You can use ribbon, fabric, paper, streamers, balloons, or anything you have on hand. Cover your door frame as a symbol of the blood of Jesus and your trust in God.
