Elf Aqua Beauty Blush and Bronzer

Beauty on a Budget...
In today’s blog post, this cute and sleek little compact for all those blush and bronzer babes.

Recently, I went to a dd's Discount store and picked up this Aqua blush and bronzer duo from Elf, not only was I surprised by the $1.99 price tag but how it performed as well.

Bronzed Violet, the name given to this duo retails for $6.00 on the website. To be honest, I never heard of it before. As soon as I saw the pink, I said to myself, It’s mine! plus, it was the only one left becuase the other one on the shelf was tampered with.

When I got home I opened it up, and swatched. Whoa! the pigmentation was crazy and the texture was velvety and creamy.

Here are some more deets from the Elf site:
Infused with purified water and vitamin E, the cream-to-powder formula hydrates your skin, leaving behind a dewy finish.

They are not lying. I absolutely like how it looked and how it blended seamlessly onto my skin. It gave me a glow with a flush of rosy cheeks.
The bronzer looked good as well, I used it on the hollow of my cheeks and for the sides of my nose.

The only thing I did not like about the product was that it did not perform well when I used certain brushes. For instance, I used a fluffy blush brush, a dense blush brush and it did not deposit on my face well, it also left streaking. The company suggested on the box by using their stipple brush or dampen sponge but I do not own their brush and I wasn’t too keen on the sponge method so I used both of my other stipple brushes and they worked beautifully. But you can use which ever stipple brush you have.

I used the Eco Tools Sheer Finish Kabuki brush for the blush

I used the Be You Beautifully Stipple brush for the Bronzer

This duo set is packaged in a glossy, beautiful compact with a mirror. It also comes in various shades. I believe the shade I have in Bronzed Violet, is the darkest and it is buildable and blendable for intensity but they also have a lighter pink shade.

The blush and bronzer lasted about 10 hours on me but again I set it all with some NYX setting spray.

You can get this lovely duo on Elfcosmetics.com, Ulta, Walmart or where other Elf products are sold.
